It's a peculiar phenomenon how something that impacts daily life—across citizens, patients, users and customers—can fly so under the radar and be so frequently misunderstood. But this is the way for services. They often exist in the background, happening seemingly by accident, and taking the form of various processes, systems and products strung together.
frog partnered with the Savannah College of Art and Design and the Service Design Network to research the state of service design. We hope that this will be the first of many annual reports that will help us, as a service design community, to track the growth of the practice across the U.S., as well as celebrate improvements we make to the lives of our fellow citizens, patients, customers and team members.
